Dan Hall
Army Veteran and Business Leader
An Advocate for Renters, Workers, and Families
Dan Hall is an army veteran, community organizer, business leader and son of a public school teacher.
Since moving to Santa Monica, Dan quickly found his footing by getting involved in our community. He is a member of the Mid-City Neighbors Association, delivers meals for seniors through Meals on Wheels West, attends church at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Santa Monica, and assumed leadership roles in the Santa Monica Democratic Club and California Democratic Party. Dan was appointed by the City Council to the Pier Board, where he has been involved in economic development and nonprofit capacity building initiatives.
In his professional career, Dan has worked for a sustainable future by launching the world’s largest ectric delivery van fleet, with an emphasis on reducing the carbon emissions in low-income, highly-polluted communities. Dan now works in the diversity, equity, and inclusion field where he leads a team building programs to support Black, Latino, Asian, women, and veteran leaders for a workforce of 1.3 million employees.
Dan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MPA from the University of North Carolina, and a B.S. from West Point Academy.
